Draw tutorial

Draw freeform shapes and arrows

Lets you draw straight on the map — lines, arrows, circles and free polygons — and animates them in. Use it for everything the map data does not already hold: an arrow of attack, a circle around a disputed zone, a boundary of your own.

How to

  1. Add the action, then pick Line, Circle or Polygon under Element.
  2. Click Draw on map, then click the map to place the points.
  3. Click Edit element style; it stays greyed out until the shape has its points.
  4. In the Stroke tab set Line color, Width and Style (solid, dashed, dotted or fade); a circle or polygon also gets a Fill tab.
  5. In the Head icon tab, set Head to Arrow when the line should point at something.
