How Credits Work
Credits are used to render map animations. Cost is duration-first with a small, predictable complexity add-on for higher step counts.
Credit Calculation Formula
1) Base credits by total duration (30 FPS baseline):
2) Small complexity add-on by step count:
Example A: 12s, 8 steps, 30 FPS
Base tier (≤20s) = 3 credits. Complexity add-on (≤10 steps) = +0. Final cost = 3 credits.
Example B: 40s, 22 steps, 60 FPS
Base tier (≤45s) = 6 credits. Complexity add-on (21-30 steps) = +2. 30 FPS subtotal = 8 credits. 60 FPS surcharge (×1.5) = 12. Final cost = 12 credits.
3) Resolution surcharge (above plan's included resolution):
Important Notes:
- All users can render at any resolution up to 1440p — higher resolutions just cost extra credits above your plan's included level
- Credits are only deducted when you render the final video/GIF, not when creating or editing animations
