How do credits work?

Credits are spent only when you render a final video or GIF. Cost is duration-first, with a small, predictable add-on for more complex animations.

Worked examples

12s, 8 steps, 30 FPS: base (≤20s) = 2, add-on (<20 steps) = +0 → 2 credits.

40s, 22 steps, 60 FPS: base (≤40s) = 4, add-on (20–39 steps) = +2, subtotal 6, 60 FPS surcharge ×2 → 12 credits.

  • Everyone can render up to 1440p — Pro includes it; on other plans it costs a few extra credits, in proportion to the animation's length.
  • Credits are deducted at render time only, never while you create or edit an animation.
When am I charged credits?
When you export a final video or GIF, and 1 credit per AI prompt. Previewing and hand-editing animations never costs anything. Free accounts are additionally limited to 5 AI prompts per month.
Do unused credits roll over?
Plan credits reset at each renewal — use them within your billing period. Credits you buy as one-time packs are different: they never expire and survive every renewal. Yearly plans grant your full year of credits upfront.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel from your billing page whenever you like, and you keep access to your plan through the period you've already paid for.
Is there a watermark?
Free exports carry a small Animaps watermark. Every paid plan renders without it. Separately, all exports include a small map-data attribution in the corner (for example the MapTiler logo and © line on premium styles) — that's required by the map providers' licenses and can't be removed on any plan.
Which map styles do I get?
Everyone gets the free OpenFreeMap styles and the 3D globe view. Starter unlocks classic satellite, the Fjord style and 11 more styles — night maps, terrain, ocean and more. Pro adds 13 Pro-exclusive styles.
