Border tutorial
Show, pulse, or trace a region's border
Outlines a country, region or city and animates that outline into view. Reach for it when the viewer needs to see WHERE something is before you fill it or move on — it draws a line and no fill, so the map underneath stays visible.
How to
- Add the action and pick the place in the New border window — countries, regions and cities all work.
- Click Edit border style, open the Motion tab and set Mode: Show, Trace or Pulse.
- In the Stroke tab of the same panel, set Border color and Border width (px), and switch on Glow for a halo under the outline.
- Add a Land action on the same place afterwards to fill the area once the outline is on screen.
Tips
- Border never moves the camera. Put a Fly to before it so the place is already in frame.
