Fill or pulse a country or region

Paints the inside of a country, region or city in a colour of your choice. Use it when the point is the AREA — who controls what, where a language is spoken, which states voted which way — rather than just where a place sits on the map.

How to

  1. Add the action and pick the place in the New land window; the shape comes from the map's own border data.
  2. Click Edit land style, open the Motion tab and set Mode: Fill, Reveal or Pulse.
  3. In the Fill tab of the same panel, set Color and Opacity.
  4. Switch on Show border in the Stroke tab when you want an edge around the fill.
  5. Use one action per country when you compare several: each carries its own colour and its own timing.
